HUNT-MCE Family-Based Genomics Group

HUNT-MCE Family-Based Genomics Group

The HUNT-MCE Family-Based Genomics Group is a research group with a focus on using family-based designs for genetic epidemiology.

Study designs include:

  • Intergenerational GWAS and MR
  • Within-family MR
  • Sibling and trio GWAS

We primarily use data from the Trøndelag Health Study (HUNT) but also access and collaborate with others working on MoBa, UK Biobank and ASLPAC cohorts among others. Please find a selection of studies below and key contacts.

Parent-offspring designs (Intergenerational GWAS)

Parent-offspring designs (Intergenerational GWAS)

The parent-offspring data is used to apply novel and robust intergenerational approach to investigate parent-offspring effects.

Code for the analysis can be found on Github and Tom Bond can be reached for questions.
