HUNT Center for Molecular and Clinical Epidemiology
HUNT Center for Molecular and Clinical Epidemiology (MCE)
The HUNT Center for Molecular and Clinical Epidemiology (MCE) is a collaboration at the interface of epidemiological studies, genetic epidemiology, molecular epidemiology and clinical translation.
We study the individual's biological conditions, lifestyle and environmental influence that can lead to health and illness, using population studies.
Based on large-scale (multi-omics) data analyses and Mendelian randomization we identify risk markers and uncover causal relationships for complex diseases.
By developing better and more precise treatment and prevention strategies we aim to initiate randomized, controlled trials in collaboration with clinical environments.
