NTNU's application deadlines vary depending on what kind of studies you're applying for, and where you're from.

Exchange studies

Go on exchange to NTNU from one of our partner universities/colleges to take courses at NTNU as part of your degree at home.

Deadlines

Starting spring semester Starting autumn semester
  • Everyone: 1 October
  • Non-EU/EEA citizens: 1 April
  • EU/EEA citizens: 15 April

Please note that this is also the deadline for uploading all the required documents for your application.


Placement studies

Come to NTNU from a partner university to a project, internship, thesis or practical placement. For anything that requires a supervisor at NTNU, you'll be a placement student.

Apply for one of NTNU's more than 60 English-language international master's degrees.

There may be exemptions to the above deadlines. Please see the study programme of your interest for further information. 

Note that the deadline is 1 March for all applicants with a Norwegian or Nordic Citizenship and an education background from a country outside the Nordics.
