Visit to Sverresborg open air museum on Wednesday, 30th August
On Wednesday (early) evening, we offer a visit to Sverresborg open air museum, with more than 80 historical buildings from the Trondelag region (including a Medieval stave church), and several indoor exhibitions. The excursion includes bus transportation to and from the museum and a guided tour of parts of the museum (c. 1,5 hours). Among other things, we will learn about life on the farms/in the rural areas and visit the old town which offers a charming representation of the wooden houses that characterized the city from the 18th century up until today. Here you will find the dentist’s exhibition, the shoemaker’s workshop, the post office and the museum’s old grocery store, and a pharmacy from 1936. A snack/light lunch will be served on the bus (can be brought into the museum park). See here for more information on the museum.
