Guidelines for Presenters

Guidelines for presenters

Duration of talk

Each presenter is given 16–17 minutes to present their paper, allowing 3–4 minutes for discussion and change of presenter. (The two invited speakers have twice as much time.)

Format & Uploading

You should prepare a Power Point file. You may use the template of your institution or company. Avoid other commercial connotations and spending time on presenting your company or yourself. Name the file with the paper number given in the programme and the last name of the presenter, e.g., 2.4_Thinn.pptx. Then click on this sharepoint link: Powerpoints, open the folder for the day of your presentation and drag your file in.

Presentations should be uploaded by Friday 19 June.

Technical Assistance

In the session, staff members (students) will be available to assist with opening your PowerPoint file and to put on your microphone. The presentation will be run by you from the auditorium laptop. Hence, you may use all the normal Power Point features such as the laser pointer tool, “Notes”, and so on. There will also be a handheld laser pointer available.
