Astrid Skjønborg Brunt
Astrid Brunt, born in Norway 1963, graduated from the University in Bergen law faculty in 1988. She then started her career at the law firm Barfod. In 1991 she started working as a lawyer for Statkraft, the Norwegian electricity producer. After a year, the industry liberalized and she continued working as a lawyer for Statnett SF, the Norwegian Transmission System Operator for electricity. She became the general counsel for Statnett in the year 2000, a position she held until 2015. She was visiting fellow at MIT Sloan in 2016 and completed a Master of Technology Management at the Norwegian University NTNU in 2017. She now holds the position general counsel for international and European affairs at Statnett and from September 2022 is also a PhD. Candidate at University of Bergen, law faculty, focusing on short term electricity markets.
She holds a position in the Statnett Pension Fund and directorships in the legal and electricity area.
