Offshore Wind - An Industrial Opportunity (Norwegian)

This report summarizes earlier studies done by FME CenSES and supplements with newer research. It shows that offshore wind in Norway has a big potential in cooperation with neighbouring countries in the North Sea. Thinking and modelling long term, we present research and give fact-based suggestions to Norwegian policy makers on how Norway best can become part of the European offshore wind investment.

Our analyses show a substantial potential for cost efficiency if power can be distributed to different parts of Europe. We suggest that Norway take an active part in establishing cooperation, utilizing our existing resources and competency in offshore ventures. By coordinating policy, education, research and production, offshore wind could be an industrial opportunity that contributes to the Paris Agreements.
