Registration

The conference is open to all members of NRSN, i.e., PhD candidates and medical research program ("forskerlinje") students who are working in the field of neuroscience and are affiliated with a Norwegian institution. Neuroscience is broadly defined and the conference aims at being equally relevant for basic and clinical researchers.

If you are not yet a member, your supervisor can register you for membership here. There is no conference fee, and NRSN covers full-board accommodation and travel (up to 2000 NOK per person) of all participants.

Registration deadline: 30th of August

Once you are registered, remember to submit your abstract by 1st of September.

Practical matters

Accommodation

NRSN covers accomodation for all participants at Grand Hotell Egersund. You will be accommodated mainly in double rooms, and you can indicate any preferred room mates in the registration form.

Egersund is a small town of wooden houses from the 1850s located along the southwestern coast of Norway, not far from the city of Stavanger. It offers a wide range of opportunities to experience the coast, town, forest, and mountains. Grand Hotell Egersund, located at the heart of the town centre, has a unique location close to the harbor and the beautiful cruciform church.

Travel

NRSN covers all travel costs up to 2000 NOK per participant. You will need to book your own flight/train tickets to Stavanger or Egersund and we will reimuburse you after the event. Please book your tickets as early as you can to ensure that the costs are as low as possible.

NRSN also takes care of bus transportation for all to and from Stavanger airport or Stavanger city.

The bus (company Tide) will depart from Byterminalen in Stavanger city at 09:45 and from Stavanger airport at 10:20 on September 27th. Estimated arrival time in Egersund is 11:30. One member of the committee will meet participants at Byterminalen, whereas two committee members will be at the airport.

The bus departs at 14:00 from the hotel in Egersund on September 29th. Estimated arrival time at Stavanger airport is 15:15 and in Stavanger city 15:40.
