NAIL Talk Force article

NAIL Talk Force is live, accessible AI lectures for everyone!
NAIL Talk Force is a new outreach initiative from the Norwegian Open AI Lab (NAIL) at NTNU, in which carefully selected and trained students deliver foundational AI lectures on behalf of the research community. The initiative was developed as part of the AURA project, supported by SpareBank 1 SMN.
The idea grew from a simple observation: demand for accessible, neutral, and research-based AI presentations has surged, and NAIL needed a way to meet that demand without overburdening its academic staff. The solution was to empower motivated students with strong AI knowledge and communication skills to take on the role, quality-assured by the faculty and backed by NTNU.
Broad audiences, strong demand
Since launching, Talk Force has reached around 200 participants from a wide range of backgrounds, local businesses, upper secondary schools, public organisations, and non-technical academic communities. The lecture is designed for audiences without a technical AI background, covering what artificial intelligence actually is, how it works, and what it means for society, grounded in real-world examples and with particular relevance to the region of Central Norway.
All lectures are delivered in Norwegian and are free of charge. Organisations outside Trondheim are also welcome to book, provided travel costs are covered by the host. Spring is fully booked, autumn slots now open. Demand has been strong enough that spring is already fully booked. We have now opened booking for autumn, reserve your slot here.

About Talk Force
Talk Force is staffed by NTNU students employed as student assistants at NAIL. Each student goes through thorough training and must be approved before representing the initiative. Organisations gain trustworthy, independent knowledge, while students build communication skills and deepen their own expertise through teaching. Talk Force is a direct expression of NTNU's mission, knowledge for a better world.
