Twice a year we organise the NAIL Partner forum, where all our partners get to meet, network and discuss common challenges. These events are held to ensure a strong bond between academia, business and the public sector.

Applied AI - NAIL Partner forum, 21 October 2025
The 21st of October we invited our partners, students and associate professors to our annual Partner forum in fall. Our new director, Kerstin Bach, introduced the theme of the day: Applied AI. We got to hear from several partner representatives, among them two of our new partners, Oslo Kommune and Riksrevisjonen. Additionally, Norsk Regnesentral, Telenor and SINTEF shared valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities they face when implementing AI. All presenters joined together on stage for an engaging panel discussion afterwards.
We also got to hear from PhD Candidate Kazeem Shamba on his AI-research as well as Michail Giannakos, leader of AI-Learn, one of the six national AI research centres. The day was rounded off with lunch and mingling.

Finance and Industry – NAIL Partner forum and Annual meeting 2024
In the first week of April we held our Annual meeting and Partner forum, this time in Oslo and kindly hosted by our partner DNB in their headquarters. Topics discussed was AI and finance, Industrial AI and the potential for cross partner collaborations going forward. Thank you so much to all participants, both on, off and behind the stage. We look forward to many more fruitful discussions and collaborations in the future!
Applied AI – Partner forum 2023
On November 23rd we gathered our partner network at campus Gløshaugen in Trondheim to mingle, network and exchange experiences from their hands on AI work. This time we had presentations from some of our more industrial partners – NR and Aneo – as well as one of our finance-partners DNB.
Partner forum – Strategy
On February 23rd, we gathered here in Trondheim with our partner network to discuss strategic questions and the future of NAIL. From NTNU we heard an introduction to the history of AI from Professor Keith Downing. Then we had engaging presentations from our partners in Statens Vegvesen (Norwegian Public Roads Administration), Telenor, and DNB, as well as fruitful workshopping sessions across business and academia boundaries. We look forward to taking on the valuable suggestions from our partners and continue the good interdisciplinary work we do in NAIL.
