Group rooms and study spaces
We have many different types of places to work around the library. You can sit on your own or together with a group, or just relax with a journal in the sofa corner. The library’s regulations for use of the rooms are displayed in the group rooms. Students and staff can reserve a room via Innsida.
U1 - interactive study area and makerspace
The sub level of the library, U1, is available to all students and staff 24/7. (Outside opening hours the area is accessible via access card). In U1 you will find mingling areas, team rooms, flexible study zones and a makerspace. There is also an event area with a screen and sound system that can be booked by contacting the library.
The Makerspace, Makerverkstedet U1, is available to all students and staff via access card (and PIN) and in addition to a good selection of tools you will find PCs with 3D modelling software installed, soldering stations and sewing machines. The 3D printers are located in ’Printerrommet U1’ and is available to students and staff who have completed our introductory course to 3D printing.
PCs and wireless network
The library has many PCs available for NTNU students and staff, as well as facilities for both scanning and printing.
You can connect to NTNU’s wireless network, Eduroam, in the library. Guests can use the network ntnuguest.
If you need IT assistance the Orakel support services has a service point at the Natural Science Library.
The library has a public printer and a scanner in rom C1-104.
