I am a researcher at Oslo Metropolitan University. Drawing from a multidisciplinary background, I have become an organizational sociologist. The theoretical lenses I apply are often neo-institutional theory, translation theory, practice variation theory, and lately organizational learning.

I study the intra- and inter organizational diffusion of innovations in and across multiple settings. However, the questions driving my scientific curiosity are philosophical ones: What makes a human being?, What makes a community?, What is the relation between language use and practice?, What is the relation between imagined futures and actions pursued?

In the RRI-Practice project, I was tasked with the organizational analysis considering the uptake of Responsible Research and Innovation in the global science system, comparing 23 organizations in 12 countries. In addition, I was tasked with the creation of a handbook on the implementation of RRI, aimed at practitioners in the science system.

The AFINO project is an exciting opportunity to study how RRI and sustainability is understood and made sense of by various actors, as well as how political intensions towards that end are translated by researchers and industry partners in science projects.
Such knowledge will feed into the design of future Research Council Norway programs. I lead WP4.
