The International Conference on the European Energy Market (EEM) every year arranges a unique meeting place to present and discuss the most recent developments in energy markets. For over 20 years, EEM has brought together experts from academia, industry, and policy to discuss cutting-edge topics including among others energy modelling, market design, regulatory policies, climate change, technological innovations, energy storage, the hydrogen economy, and energy citizenship.

We are proud and pleased to welcome you to EEM26 in Trondheim, Norway, on 22–24 June 2026 for the 22nd edition of this prestigious event.

EEM26 is organized by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), SINTEF Energy Research, and the IEEE PES Norway Chapter, under the auspices of the IEEE Power & Energy Society.

Papers should follow the EEM26 template. Authors are reminded to follow the format and all instructions provided therein when preparing their mauscripts.

FAQ: What is the page limit?
A: The page limit for content is 5 pages (including title + abstract with keywords), references can be added on the next page.

FAQ: Was the template file updated?
A: Yes, it was updated on January 26. The paper will be send out for review, hence it should not include any personal information such as name(s) or institutions. 

FAQ: Is there a .tex template?
A: There is an official IEEE Conference Template on Overleaf. It solely serves as a starting point, authors are requested to follow styles and other instructions from the above template. Make sure to remove identifiers (i.e. comment out authors).

FAQ: Where to I enter the copyright information?
A: At this stage this is not required, only accepted final papers will need to provide such information in order for the paper to be included in the proceedings.

Authors are invited to submit abstracts to the EEM26 following the submission guidelines available in the abstract template. The maximum word count is 500 words.

Abstracts should be submitted using the ConfTool system (which requires a registration).
