Evidence, information, and communication in climate matters

Evidence, information, and communication in climate matters

Proof, Persuasion, and Manipulation in the Climate Challenge

How we communicate the green transition shapes public trust, political action, and perceptions of who gains and who loses. This workshop brings together film, research, industry perspectives, and climate advocacy to explore the contested narratives that influence climate debates today.

Building on these themes, researchers will contribute short inputs on:

  • the role of evidence in climate litigation,
  • disinformation and narrative framing in climate politics, and
  • how scientific knowledge is translated—or distorted—in public debates.

This workshop aims to foster a deeper understanding of communication as a site of struggle in the green transition—and to explore what more constructive, transparent, and evidence-based climate communication could look like.
