Master projects

Master projects on gold catalysis will contribute to this project. The candidate will, in general:

carry out investigations to evaluate the ability of actual substrates to undergo gold(I) catalysed reactions in order to develop novel gold(I) catalysed transformations.

The project will/may also include:

• mechanistic studies
• preparation of appropriate substrates
•  isolation and purification of products and intermediates (e.g. flash chromatography)
• characterization and structure elucidation of new compounds, in particular by 1H, 13C NMR and 2D NMR
• preparation of bioactive target compounds by gold(I) catalysis

Specific master projects connected to current research topics in the group, will be defined by contact with prof. Anne Fiksdahl.
