Abstract submission

We welcome abstracts from research and practice related to solutions for Zero Emission and Plus Energy Buildings and Neighbourhoods, including:

  • Definitions, metrics, and data management
  • Legislation and incentives
  • Planning strategies
  • Design methods and tools
  • Solutions for increased energy efficiency and flexibility
  • Renewable energy systems
  • Storage solutions
  • Smart systems for energy and power performance
  • Low carbon materials and solutions
  • Business models
  • Procurement strategies
  • Economic assessment
  • Life cycle assessment
  • Facilities management, operation and maintenance
  • Control, visualization, and smart systems
  • Indoor environment and well being
  • User engagement
  • Architectural Design
  • Lessons learned from realized projects
  • Renovation strategies
  • Upscaling the market
 

The abstract should give a summary of what you would like to present at the conference (orally, in a paper, or in a poster), should be a maximum of 400 words, and should include the following:

  • A description of the purpose and goals of the study or project
  • A summary of the methods, tools or procedures used in the study or project
  • A description of the main findings and lessons learnt of the study or project

You can submit as "Research presenter" or "Practice presenter". Please note that the deadlines are different for the two options.

All abstracts must be submitted via our Presentation portal. (see bottom of this page)

Research presenter

You submit and present a scientific paper, that will be published in the conference proceedings at iopscience.iop.org Conference Series. Both abstracts and papers will be double blind reviewed. Accepted papers will be published in IOP Science Conference Series, which provides open access and is indexed by Scopus, Web of Science, Compendex, etc. There will also be the possibility to present only a poster without a formal oral presentation.

Practice Presenter

You submit and present some experiences from working with projects in your professional life. You do not have to write a full paper, only a one page abstract. The abstract and presentation may be in English or in a Nordic language. There will also be the possibility to present a poster or an exhibition, without a formal oral presentation.
