In the library’s premises (buildings 6B and 8) there are many different workspaces. There are also group rooms, study cells and quiet reading rooms.

Students and staff can reserve rooms via Innsida.

The library have eight large screens that can be connected to your own laptop. There is one guest PC for searching our collections. This does not have printing facilities. Printing must be done from your own laptop. Printer with scanning facilities.  printing facilities at the NTNU University Library for students and staff.

You can connect to NTNU’s wireless network, Eduroam, in the library. Guests can use the network ntnuguest.

The library has equipment for reading microfilm and microfiche. Print functions are available.

You have to book the room before use. Select the criteria "Room type: Laboratory" and "Room equipment: Microfilm scanner".

Seminar room with VR equipment

The library’s course room can be booked by agreement with the library for use in teaching, workshops, etc. Contact us by phone or email

Photo of virutal reality glassesThe room contains seven Oculus Quest VR headsets and is suitable for workshops or teaching in smaller groups. If you are a staff member and have arranged with the library to borrow the room with VR equipment, you can easily book the room via Outlook: Dragvoll Building 6B, Level 5, Room 6575 (810_6575). Instructions for using the VR equipment are available in the room.

If you have questions about how to use the equipment or are interested in how VR has previously been used in teaching, you can contact the BLINK learning hub at the Dragvoll campus by NTNU hjelp or email or the Section for Learning Support and Digital Services for the entire NTNU by NTNU Hjelp or email.

There is also a dedicated VR lab at NTNU at the Dragvoll campus. More information is available at VRLab - NTNU.

In addition, the library has 10 VR headsets that can be borrowed at the front desk at Dragvoll Library.

Loan of equipment for secure data collection for students


Students can now borrow equipment for secure data collection during interviews through the University Library at Dragvoll. This equipment is primarily intended for use in student assignments.

The equipment is provided as backpack-based solutions adapted for interviews with audio or video. The equipment is borrowed at your own responsibility, and it is important to familiarize yourself thoroughly with it before borrowing, and to allow time for charging.

Loans can only be made at the service desk at the University Library on the Dragvoll campus. If you have questions about the equipment, you can contact the BLINK Learning Hub.

Note: We have a limited number of backpacks available, and they are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Table Tennis and Disc Golf Equipment / Keys to the Shared Storage Room for Student Volunteers

On behalf of the Campus Hosts, table tennis and disc golf equipment, as well as keys to the shared storage room for student volunteers, are available for loan. 

The equipment can be borrowed during the library’s staffed hours.
