Steffen is architect and Associate Professor at NTNU coordinating mentoring student-initiated Live Projects. Live Projects  trigger social entrepreneurship, learning and a new professional culture. The combination of hands-on production, applied user-insight and working in challenging contexts open up for new approaches to sustainable planning. As leader of workpackage Live Studio in TRANSark center (Center for transformative learning in architecture education) he is responsible for research and development and Live activities for students of Architecture and Fine Arts at NTNU. In addition he is responsible for Complex Programs at the Department for design and management.
