Synnøve Hofseth Almås
About
I am professor in interprofessional learning and works within master of advanced clinical nursing. Earlier I have been a professor at biomedical laboratory science, lecturing medical microbiology.
My research area is interprofessional collaborative learning and biomedical laboratory science. I have taken part in two projects funded by the Norwegian University and in two EU applications. The Norwegian Biomedical Laboratory Science Institute has given me research scholarship.
My thesis was conducted at Bergen University in 2007. It is about implementing a common core in curicula for health in Norway, and I applied Bourdieu's theory about the educational system. In my research, I have participated and developed several interprofessional collaborative learning projects. In my research I apply both quantitative and qualitative research design. I am a board member in Journal of Interprofessional Care og Bioingeniøren. In addition I am referee in national and international journals.
