Course content
Problems and advantages with dependent observations.
Summary measures (Area under curve (AUC), coefficient of slope, min/max value).
Analysis of covariance.
Randomized blocks ANOVA.
ANOVA for repeated measurements.
Friedman's non-parametric test.
Multivariate analysis.
Variance components.
Linear mixed effect models.
Use of relevant software (SPSS, Stata, R)
Learning outcome
Students shall gain insight into the problems and possibilities that arise from repeated measurements on the same individual or group. Furthermore, students shall be able to analyze a data material according to the defined contents of the course.

Recommended previous knowledge
Medical statistics part 1 and 2, or equivalent.
Required previous knowledge
Master or equivalent degree in medicine, health related subjects, or social sciences. Medical students at The Student Research Programme. Candidates with a lower degree may be assessed individually.
