About the course
Course content
The course is a study of religions originating in Southern Asia, with an emphasis on Hinduism. The course will provide students with a basic understanding of the teachings and practices of Hinduism, both past and present. The course also offers an introduction to other religions important to the region, like Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism.
Learning outcome
The course will provide the student with a basic understanding of the historical conditions and cultural contexts, and of the development and present situation of the various religions in the region.

Learning methods and activities
The instruction consists of lectures. Lectures will be in English.
