About

I am a young researcher working at the interface of Geosciences, Forestry, and Wildlife Science, with a strong emphasis on Geospatial Modelling and GeoAI-driven environmental analysis. My research integrates GIS, remote sensing, data analytics, and artificial intelligence/machine learning to understand complex earth system processes across hydrological, cryospheric, ecological, and tectonic domains.

My core research focuses on hydrogeological investigations using machine learning and geospatial techniques, including groundwater potential mapping, springshed and spring ecosystem boundary delineation, and surface and subsurface hydrological interactions. I actively work in glaciology, with experience in glacial feature extraction, supraglacial lake (SGL) mapping, and cryospheric change analysis using deep learning models applied to multi-sensor remote sensing imageries.

I apply geospatial intelligence, AI, and ML for ecological and wildlife applications, including habitat suitability modeling, landscape connectivity, and spatial conflict analysis. In addition, my work extends to active tectonics, where I employ morphotectonic and geomorphic analysis using geospatial modelling to map and interpret tectonically active regions.

Overall, my research aims to develop robust, scalable, and interpretable geospatial models that bridge earth system science with artificial intelligence, supporting sustainable resource management, hazard assessment, and conservation planning.

Wildlife mitigation plan along the alternative diversion of the entire railway track outside the core area of the Palamau Tiger Reserve, Jharkhand, India

This report evaluates ecological impacts of existing and proposed railway lines in Palamau Tiger Reserve, focusing on habitat fragmentation and wildlife connectivity, and recommends alternative alignments and mitigation measures to balance conservation.

Cumulative environment impact assessment on wildlife habitat and ecological values due to proposed doubling of railway track from Tinaighat to Kulem in the northern Western ghats Part I: Assessment of Wildlife Habitat & Ecological Values

This report evaluates ecological impacts of railway track doubling between Tinaighat and Kulem in the Northern Western Ghats, assessing effects on wildlife, habitats, and mortality, and recommending mitigation to balance rail development and conservation.

Cumulative environment impact assessment on wildlife habitat and ecological values due to proposed doubling of railway track from Tinaighat to Kulem in the northern Western ghats Part II: Mitigation measures for doubling railway track

This report presents mitigation measures for the proposed railway track doubling between Tinaighat and Kulem in the Northern Western Ghats, focuses on reducing impacts on habitats, maintaining ecological connectivity, and ensuring sustainable development

Spring ecosystem mapping for its restoration and management using GIS based Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) technique through multi-criteria evaluation

In the Indian Himalayas, ~50% of springs are drying, affecting 60% of locals. This study uses GIS, MCE, and AHP to map spring ecosystems, assess health, and guide restoration for water security and ecosystem services.
