Alok Sarkar
About
Alok Sarkar earned a Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree in Extractive Metallurgy from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), BHU in Varanasi, India.
Master Thesis: 'Preparation of fluxed iron ore pellets and evaluation of its properties'.
He is currently pursuing a PhD on the topic 'The relationship between the characteristics of different type of manganese ores and their behavior in hydrogen reducing atmosphere' which in future helps the Ferro Alloys industry to produce green FeMn/ Mn Alloys and mitigate the GHG emissions.
Before joining the PhD program at NTNU, Norway, he accumulated nearly 12 years of industrial experience in Iron and Steel production in India.
