I am an analyst with the Trøndelag Police District and I am currently employed as a PhD-candidate at the Department of Mental Health (IPH), where I conduct research on online child sexual abuse (SOBI). The PhD fellowship is the result of a collaboration between NTNU, St. Olav’s Hospital, and Trøndelag police district, with the aim of increasing knowledge about online child sexual abuse.
Through this work, we seek to contribute to the prevention and detection of online child sexual abuse, reduce the consequences for those who have been victimized, and improve treatment for offenders and others who experience a sexual attraction to children.
For more information, please see: https://www.ntnu.no/iph/sobi
In my research, I will examine the characteristics and profiles of individuals who have been convicted of possessing child sexual abuse material and of sexually abusing children.
