Andreas Kattem Husøy

I work as a physician at the Department of Neurology at St Olavs Hospital and as a postdoctoral fellow at the Norwegian Center for Headache Research (NorHead).
Background
I studied medicine at NTNU and graduated in 2018. Finished my PhD in neuroscience at NTNU in 2020 with the topic: headache and brain morphology (examined using MRI). Since then I have been affiliated the headache community at NTNU/St Olavs with a special focus on epidemiology and disease burden.
Since 2023 I have worked on improving the headache models in the Global Burden of Disease study and, among other things, had a 6-month stay at the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) in Seattle.
I am a Director and Trustee of Lifting The Burden (LTB) which leads the Global Campaign against Headache, and is the only headache organization with an official relation with WHO.
I am a member of the editorial board of The Journal of Headache and Pain.
