About

CV

I am a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering (EPT), NTNU. My research focuses on how ocean-based NETs (Negative Emission Technology) can play an essential and sustainable role in achieving climate neutrality and I work as a part of WP4 of EU Horizon OceanNET project. My objective is to assess the carbon cycle interactions and efficacy of land-based NETs ( BECCS), when combined with oceanic NETs (individually or in a portfolio) with the help of Norwegian Earth System Model (NorESM2) simulations. Earlier in my research career, I have worked as a Post-doc at Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), Umeå, Sweden on Reconciling the Carbon Balance of Northern Sweden through Integration of Observations and Modelling. I have awarded a PhD degree on Jan-2018 in Atmospheric and Space Sciences from Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, India. My PhD work titled ‘Identification of Different Planetary Boundary Layer Regimes over the Indian Region and Study of their Moisture and Energy Budgets using Observations and Numerical Simulations’ is a comprehensive study of monsoon boundary layer regimes and their characteristics which contribute to better understand  its spatiotemporal variations and controlling factors over the region. In recognition of my research work, I have published five first author research articles in various peer-reviewed international journals like JGR, Atmospheric Research, Journal of Hydrology etc. I have graduated in B.Sc. Physics from Calicut University, Kerala and I have done M.Sc. in Meteorology from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala, India.
