Background and activities
Anyuan Chen, Post doctor, working on Direct Electric Heating (DEH) of subsea pipelines. Modeling and analysis of frequency dependent power over pipelines with different treatments at higher operational frequencies. He holds a BSc in industrial automation, MSc and PhD in Electric Power engineering, main fields on electric machine, electro-magnetism, and power system.
After receiving his BSc, Anyuan Chen worked as electrical engineer, senior electrical engineer in China at several companies with control system design and software development. In 2002, he took MSc education in KTH and thereafter working as researcher focusing on the loss analysis and control system simulation of electrical machine for vehicle applications. After finishing his PhD (2006-2010) from NTNU, he worked as senior engineer at Rolls-Royce with innovative concept study, electro-magnetic design and analysis for oil and gas, marine and renewable applications. And after that he worked as a specialist engineer at department of emerging subsea technologies in Aker Solutions, focusing on the research of merging technologies in subsea power system for deep-water applications, project leader for research project of developing and testing of rotary-converter, developing the conditional and monitoring system for power system etc.
