About

Bintang Prabowo is an expert in community-based and urban-scale Facility Management (FM) with a focus on urban heritage areas. He holds a master’s degree in urban design and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in architecture. His doctoral research, titled “Urban Heritage Facility Management”, investigated management frameworks for three Norwegian World Heritage sites: Røros, Rjukan, and Notodden.

Before relocating to Norway, he was (and is still) a certified professional architect registered with the Indonesian Board of Architects (DAI) and served as both lecturer and researcher at UNDIP, a state university in Central Java, Indonesia. He also initiated a proposal for a near-Zero Emission House (n-ZEH) in Indonesia called GENi (Graha Emisi Nol - Indonesia).

He is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the PARCS (Participatory Approaches for Regenerative Climate Solutions) project, focusing on strategies and tools for a sustainable built environment through the Indonesian Living Lab in Indramayu, West Java. The Indonesia Living Lab is one of three global Living Labs within PARCS, along with those in the United States and Colombia.
