One Health
Our group, One Health, integrates a variety of disciplines to study the health of people, wildlife, and our environment at every scale, from local communities to the global ecosystem. Our research is supported by the advanced MIX Mark 2 (MIX II) and NV-MS laboratories.
About Me
Bachelor in Chemical Engineering and Ph.D. in Environmental Science. Guest editor in Chemosphere (2020-2021) and an editorial board member in Environmental Research (2020-) and in Critical Reviews in Environmental Science and Technology (2021-). The major research interests include:
- novel methodologies for analyzing, passive sampling, and in vivo bioconcentration testing complex chemical mixtures (e.g. UVCBs);
- sources, fate, and bioaccumulation of chemical pollutants in the freshwater, marine, and terrestrial environment;
- long-range transportation;
- human biomonitoring and risk assessment
Master Project Topics
We offer a range of Master's project topics, which include, but are not limited to:
- Assessing transportation and historical profiles of microplastics
- Monitoring emerging organic pollutants at Svalbard environment and ecosystem (collaboration with Prof. Øyvind Mikkelsen)
- Developing passive sampler for long-term sampling organic pollutants in air and water (collaboration with Prof. Chang'er Chen, SCNU, China)
- Exploring methods for quantitative measurement of organic pollutants without reference standards (collaboration with relevant colleagues)
