Background and activities

I am a PhD student in environmental humanities at The Department of Art and Media Studies. My project examines how our relationship to the ocean is shaped by cultural representations in transnational literature and film. My emphasis is on feminist, queer, and decolonial perspectives and on speculative fiction.

My project is a part of NTNU Ocean's HAVANSVAR initiative. I am also a member of the Decolonial Research Group and have previously worked on the project TransLit as a research assistant.

Education

I have an MA in English literature from NTNU, with a focus on environmental humanities. In my thesis, I examined strategies of survival and resistance in post-apocalyptic narratives.

Teaching

During spring 2019, I taught seminars in ENG1303: Prose Fiction.
