Background and activities
Research interests are more generally focused on using various research methods to investigate socio-political phenomena, specifically the state of political ideologies, public policy and its effects, and how power and resources are distributed in society. This work is, for the time being, related to the mechanisms that (re)produce social inequalities in health.
Current work focuses on the role of innovative technologies on social inequalities in health. Currently a member of an interdisciplinary team working on the HEAL-Tech project along with Terje Andreas Eikemo, Steinar Krokstad, Erik Sund, Pål Martinussen, Per Morten Schiefloe, Emil Øversveen, and Håvard T. Rydland. This project combines disciplines in public health, sociology, and political science.
Past work has focused on bridging the gap between public health research and local public health policy in Norway.
