Research Topic:

Modelling of the Hydrodynamics of Propulsion in Astern Waves.

One of the main goals is to develop a reduced-fidelity, time domain numerical simulation model for vessels operating in following sea, including irregular seas, wind dynamics, and autopilot control algorithms, which can be used as a tool to investigate the intrinsic hydrodynamics of vessels operating in following sea states.

(Funded by KSP-ProfSea project with project partners - Kongsberg Maritime, MET, SINTEF Ocean, KRISO, RCN.)

Supervisor: David Kristiansen, Co-supervisor: Trygve Kristiansen

I completed my master's degree in Naval Arch. & Ocean Systems Engineering at Korea Maritime and Ocean University, South Korea, and I hold a bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering from the Ocean University of Sri Lanka.

My research interests include Marine Hydrodynamics, Manoeuvring and motion and Numerical analyses, among others.
