About
Enormous investment by the Norwegian government is placed into the organization of childhood with the aim of enhancing equality/equity among children. Despite this, Norway's level of durable inequality remains on par with Sweden and Finland, who invest drastically less. My PhD project aims to understand why this is happening, focusing on the organization of primary education and associated welfare systems. Specifically, I take a class-based perspective which highlights the challenges of reaching the national goals of greater equity and inclusion.
