Elaina Jacqulene Wiljanen Weber
Research
Elaina works with sustainability issues from a political ecology perspective, with a special interest in food systems. Focusing on environmental governance, she's motivated by connecting the local to the global, and all levels between. She is active in the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), especially ONet, their network for stakeholders. Her current PhD project unpacks key issues in the sustainability of wild edible plant and mushroom gathering in Norway, in relation to the right to roam, protected areas, diverse economies (community economies), and knowledge politics (epistemic authority).
