Eleni joined NTNU in 2023 as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Chemistry. Her research focuses on the nanofabrication of high-resolution large-scale metasurfaces for functional devices and their application to photonics. Prior to this, she did her undergraduate and master's degrees at the Department of Materials Science and Technology at the University of Crete. She obtained her PhD in Physics at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Southampton, focusing on highly birefringent photo-addressable devices integrated with nanostructured metamaterials for visible and THz radiation. Then she was a Researcher and Lab manager at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (EMPA), working on large-scale nanofabrication of photonic devices via laser ablation.
