About
Dr.-Ing. Emil-Kaya graduated from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Istanbul Technical University (ITU) in 2014 and completed her master's degree in 2017. She holds a PhD from IME, Process Metallurgy and Metal Recycling, RWTH Aachen University, specializing in the recovery of rare earth elements. She is currently a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Her research interests include resource recovery from secondary sources, as well as the recycling of metals and metallurgical by-products.
