I am interested in characterizing the responses of fish and invertebrates to anthropogenic noise (ship noise) using ecological, behavioral and physiological concepts.

From distraction to habituation: Ecological and behavioural responses of invasive fish to anthropogenic noise

Anthropogenic noise does not strengthen multiple predator effects in a freshwater invasive fish

Man-made noise can alter community dynamics through predation. Animals interact with conspecifics while foraging that can influence predation rates. We show that anthropogenic noise does alter predation when conspecific was present.

Adding insult to injury: anthropogenic noise intensifies predation risk by an invasive freshwater fish species

Ecological impact of invasive species can be modulated by human-induced alterations in habitats, helping biodiversity loss. We tested man-made noise effect on the predation of N.melanostomus. We found that noise can exacerbate invasive species impact.
