About

I work as a post doctoral fellow in ExCaR. I am a structural biologist with nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy as technique, and I have experience in elucidation of organic molecules, proteins, carbohydrates (oligo- and polysaccharides) and peptides.

Research

I am a post doc in the ExCar group, and will be working on the project called SUGARmama. This project seeks to uncover how maternal exercise affect the breast milk composition, and if this again affect childhood obesity.

I will use NMR spectroscopy to identify (and characterize) human milk oligosaccharides (HMO's) and other metabolites from human breast milk and serum samples. I will also use mass spectrometry (MS) to investigate the infants gut microbiota and look for short chain fatty acids (SCFA's).
