About

Master's degree from NTNU, graduated in 2022 from the program "Energy and the Environment" with specialization in process engineering and heat and mass transfer.

From 2022 to 2024 she worked as a researcher at SINTEF Energy Research. The work focused on efficient energy usage in industry with a focus on sustainable technologies and solutions such as heat pumps, drying, thermal energy storage, and utilization of surplus heat.

In September 2024, she started at a PhD at NTNU, at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering. This work is about the integration of high-temperature heat pumps in industry.

Competencies

  • Energieffektivisering
  • Høy-temperatur varmepumper
  • Termisk energi
  • Tørking og avvanning
  • Varmepumper

Research

Frida Sæther's research is about integration of high-temperature heat pumps into existing industrial processes. The work is based on energy analysis of existing plants and modeling and optimization of energy systems that include both high-temperature heat pumps and thermal energy storage. The main focus is on the food industry and district heating.
