Background and activities

Short Bio

 
Gianfranco Nencioni received the Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering ‘‘cum laude’’ from the University of Pisa in 2008, and the Ph.D. in Information Engineering from the University of Pisa in 2012.
In the fall of 2011, he was a visiting Ph.D student at the Computer Laboratory of the University of Cambridge, supervised by Prof. Jon Crowcroft. 
From 2012 to 2015 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Pisa.
He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Information Security and Communication Technology (formerly Department of Telematics) of the NTNU. 
His past research activity has mainly regarded energy-aware routing and network design in both wired and wireless environments.
His current research activity regards dependability on SDN and NFV.
