About

I am a PhD fellow at the Department of Chemical Engineering, NTNU. The PhD is part of the Sustainable Materials for the Battery Value Chain (SUMBAT) Project. My research work is focused on the recycling + regeneration of graphite from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries and production scrap. I completed my M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Department of Chemical Engineering at NTNU, with specialization in Heterogeneous Catalysis. I employ various characterization techniques, that I started learning from my M.Sc., to investigate the material properties of graphite and battery black mass. For separation of graphite from black mass samples, I am making use of froth flotation whereby graphite is separated as froth due to its hydrophobic nature.

Quantitative Phase Analysis and Structural Investigation of Graphite Anode for Lithium-Ion Batteries

Recycling of graphite from Li-ion batteries has grown in recent years necessitating the development of robust characterization methods. It is vital to establish a robust procedure to determine the changes in the crystalline structure of graphite.

Effect of Copper Catalyst Content and Zinc Promoter on Carbon Formation in the Direct Synthesis of Methylchlorosilanes

Direct synthesis of methylchlorosilanes is a complex solid–gas–solid reaction where solid Si reacts with CH3Cl gas in the presence of Cu-based catalyst. Here, the effects of Zn amount and the Cu/Si ratio on the catalytic performance have been tested.
