Hossein Arshad
About
Background
I am a PhD candidate at Department of Ocean Operations and Civil Engineering. I have a master of science as well as bachelor of science degree in Industrial Engineering from Iran. Furthermore, I have been into Ghent University and KU Leuven as a visiting doctoral researcher from July-2019 to July-2020.
Professional interests:
- Supply Chain Management and Circular Economy
- Operations Research and Optimization
- Stochastic Programming
- Machine Learning
My doctroal project
My PhD project focuses on the development of a data-driven stochastic optimization-based model for dynamic evacuation guidance when a disaster happened on cruise ships. Then, the model will be tested/ evaluated on a digital twin. To this end, predictive statistical analytics techniques are applied.
