My research explores how characters with physical disabilities and their relatives are portrayed in Scandinavian picture books for children. The project is part of the interdisciplinary research project “Caregiving and literature as remedium” (CaReLit) at the Department of Language and Literature.
I hold a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Oslo. In my thesis, I examined the father–child relationship in contemporary Scandinavian picture book series. Prior to starting my PhD, I’ve worked as a research assistant on the project “Norwegian Romantic Nationalisms” (NORN) at the Centre for Ibsen Studies, and as an assistant at the Department of Linguistics and Scandinavian Studies in Oslo.
