About

My PhD project is called  ”Life stories about everyday life, local knowledge and identity in three generations in a Sea Sámi community”.

The study has a narrative approach and investigate how three generations in a Sea Sámi community express their lives in regard to experiences created through local knowledge. The study emphasizes in particular transfer of local knowledges and how such knowledges formes intergenerational relationships and identities.

The study is connected to the project “Valuing the past, sustaining the future; Education, knowledge and identity across three generations in coastalCommunities” (FINNUT, Norwegian University of Science and Technology Faculty, Norwegain Centre for Child Research. Project manager Anne Trine Kjørholt)
