Ingvild Røsand
About
My background includes teacher education, a Master’s degree in Special Education and a PhD in Educational Sciences at NTNU. I have previously worked as a teacher. I teach and supervise bachelor’s and master’s students in educational psychology and developmental psychology, special education, and research methods. My research interests focus on adolescent mental health and health-promoting schools.
My dissertation investigates mental health in Norwegian upper secondary schools using a mixed-methods approach, comprising four papers, two quantitative and two qualitative. The dissertation explores how various aspects of the school environment, social support, emotional problems, school-related stress and coping strategies influence students’ mental health. Additionally, the dissertation seeks to provide insights into how upper secondary schools can promote well-being.
