My research focuses on:
- pregnancy, childbirth, and early infancy, with particular emphasis on birth experiences and birth‑related trauma
- parenting, motherhood, and family life
- the use of psychological knowledge in reporting and investigative work within child welfare services
How do parents of young children navigate in an expert‑driven society?
Parents today face intensive parenting norms and abundant psychological advice, especially through social media. This project explores how Norwegian parents interpret and use psychological knowledge, particularly attachment theory, in their parenting.
DigiBirth - Digital intervention after traumatic birth
We are developing a digital self-help program in the app "Eira" for women who have experienced a traumatic birth and testing the effect in a clinical trial among postpartum women giving birth St.Olavs university hospital.
Hva gjør barnevernet i undersøkelser og hvorfor gjør de det slik?
Vi utforske barnevernsansatte forståelse og anvendelse av kunnskap, begreper og verdier i barnevernsundersøkelser gjennom fokusgruppeintervjuer i ulike barnevernstjenester. Jeg har særlig fokus på ansattes bruk av psykologisk kunnskap.
