About

Jan is a Ph.D. candidate working on a thesis with the working title "Climate change and air pollution mitigation in the aviation sector".

The main focus of the research is the interdisciplinary integration of models of different scales to provide robust assessments of mitigation options.

Among other options, he is looking at alternative fuels for aviation.

In collaboration with the Industrial Ecology Digital Lab and the project supervisors, he designed and implemented the "Aviation Transport Emission Assessment Model" [AviTEAM].

He is supervised by Prof. Anders H. Strømman and Dr. Helene Muri. 

 

Jan holds a M.Sc. and B.Sc. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany (2020, 2018).

 

Research
