Background and activities
The primary research interest since the late 1980s has been disability research, and in particular research that are policy relevant. Most of my research has a profile named problemoriented empiricisms - that is, practical empirical research on sosial problems. I have addressed topics such as integration and deinstitutionalisation, children and adults, education and employment, and social reforms. I have been a member of three public committtes addressing disability policies, was a member of the Equalisation and discrimination tribunal for gour years, and chaired the Norwegian State Council on Disablity for four years.
