CV

Joakim Skjelde holds a Bachelor in Civil Engineering (2021) from the University of Stavanger (UiS) and a Master in Civil- and Environmental Engineering (2023) from NTNU.

After his Master, Joakim has worked as a consultant (2023-2025) within urban water systems modelling. In 2026 he started on his public PhD through the municipality of Trondheim, where he is working on deterioration modelling of urban drainage systems. His PhD-project is titled: "Data-driven methods in urban drainage deterioration modelling".

Data-driven methods for urban drainage deterioration modelling

Deterioration modelling of urban drainage systems, using statistical modelling and machine learning. Objective is to develop a national model based on data from several big Norwegian municipalities

Asset Management of Urban Drainage Systems is the first comprehensive handbook that deals with the asset management of infrastructure dedicated to both sewage and stormwater, including blue-green infrastructure.
