Associate Professor of Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) at the Department of Teacher Education (ILU). My research areas are Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), Second Language Acquisition (SLA), Sociocultural Theory, scaffolding, observation and mixed methods.
I am currently co-leader of the research group Multidisciplinary Educational Research.
Background:
I defended my Ph.D. in English didactics at the University of Southeastern Norway in May, 2020. I hold a Master's degree in English language from the University of Oslo, and am a graduate of Norwegian National Research School in Teacher Education (NAFOL). I taught English and Norwegian as Foreign Languages for a private language company for 5 years, and worked as a Lecturer of English at USN for 4 years. In 2016, I won the competition 'Researcher to the film' at USN. In 2017, I won the semifinals for Researcher Grand Prix, and was nominated one of the top ten science communicators in Norway. In 2019, I was a guest researcher at the University of the Basque Country.
